A CODE TELLS YOU SOMETHING FAILED. IT DOESN'T TELL YOU WHY.
Plug in a scanner, and it'll give you a code. That code points at a system — not a cause. The same code can mean a loose connector, a failing sensor, or a mechanical problem three parts upstream. Replace the wrong part, and the light comes back — now you've paid twice.
That's why every ARCAR diagnostic goes through a full process, not a single scan. Below is what that process actually looks like.

VISUAL INSPECTION
We start by looking — leaks, corrosion, worn hoses, loose connectors, damaged wiring. A lot of problems leave visible evidence before a single tool gets plugged in.

LISTENING &
DRIVABILITY CHECK
Noises tell a story. Knocking, ticking, grinding, whining — where it happens, when it happens, and under what conditions all narrow down the cause before we open anything up.

MECHANICAL INSPECTION
Hands-on checks: compression, fluid condition, belts, mounts, play in components. This is where we confirm or rule out what the visual and listening checks pointed toward.

COMPUTER DIAGNOSTICS
We pull codes and live data — not just a snapshot, but real-time sensor readings while the engine runs. This is where we catch problems that only show up under load or at specific conditions.

TOOL-ASSISTED DIAGNOSTICS
For anything the steps above can't confirm on their own, we bring in specialized equipment — borescope inspection for internal engine and exhaust components, smoke testing for vacuum and intake leaks, and other targeted tools depending on the case.
